We love the the Metal Museum!
We are super excited to announce that Bikesploitation 4 is being hosted by The National Ornamental Metal Museum in Memphis, TN.
The Metal Museum has been a fantastic partner of Bikesploitation since our early beginnings - helping us to create the Tall Bike (project/film) and the Mobile Music Machine (project/film). These bikes were created right in the museum foundry by Metal Museum artists and staff. They have even fixed our bikes during Repair Days!
The Museum has graciously offer FREE admission to the indoor Museum on the day of the event and Museum artists will be on hand with demos and information.
The Fuel food truck will be on site with great food including vegan and vegetarian options. We will also have plenty of refreshments and beer!
We will soon be providing a map for the best ridding route in addition to scheduling group rides to and from the event. Make sure to bring a blanket just to hang out on the grounds and soak up some of the Museums magic.
"I've personally spent a ton of time at the Museum and it is one of the most beautiful attractions in Memphis. It's the perfect spot for an amazing day celebrating bicycle culture." - Christopher Reyes
About the Museum
The Metal Museum is the only institution in the United States devoted exclusively to the art and craft of fine metalwork. Unlike conventional art museums, it isn’t just a place where art is displayed; it’s a place where art is made. At the Metal Museum you can see works of art, see artists work, learn the craft, and craft the art.
